For Our Cousin And Her Husband…

………with tears aplenty, another cousin of mine from California sends this lovely consolation poem for my mourning cousin and her loving husband. It has been years since we all saw each other, but this  Tiny Angel we lost yesterday has touched all of us so profoundly……

Tiny Angels rest your wings
sit with me for awhile.
How I long to hold your hand,
And see your tender smile.

Tiny Angel, dont you want to hear
Those melodious lullabies from Granma…
She has been practicing for you
Right from from you were in mama’s womb

Tiny Angel, do you know
How you filled your aunt with joy
She was ready to pamper you
with toys and clothes and all that you want

Tiny Angel how could you miss
The rides with your loving granpa
Ready to buy you those ballons flying high
and go on all fours to make you stop cry

Tiny Angel, look at me,
I want this image clear….
That I will forget your precious face
Is my biggest fear.

Tiny Angel can you tell me,
Why you have gone away?
You weren’t here for very long….
Why is it, you couldn’t stay?

Tiny Angel shook her head,
These things I do not know mumma
All this is god’s play
surcease from strife or to go on from life to life

Feel the invisible cord mumma?
Not seen by anyones eyes
I will stay connected with you and dad
I can’t bear to see you sad

Tiny angel, my life , my love
This pulls my heart, I am bruised…I am sore,
I will hold this tight, the invisible cord
With memories of you and life we could have shared…

—————————————

Oh Cousin, dear, darling cousin, our heart aches for you and your husband. Praying that somehow deep within you, you both find the courage and love to console each other….
